2024 was a big year for Caitlin Clark, as she embarked on a new journey in the WNBA. While looking back at the last 12 months, her brother decided to poke fun at her.

On Tuesday night, Clark posted a series of photos on Instagram of her favorite moments of 2024. It included things like winning Rookie of the Year, the end of her historic run at Iowa and being named Athlete of the Year by Time magazine.

In the caption, Caitlin Clark dubbed 2024 the "best year" while looking ahead to what awaits her in 2025. Her brother Colin commented on the post, jokingly contradicting her statement.

"Decent year I'd say," Colin wrote.

In the early months of 2024, Clark capped off her college career by becoming the all-time leading scorer in Division I history for men and women. Later, she saw herself drafted No. 1 overall in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever.

As a rookie, Clark piled up even more records and accolades. Along with taking home ROY, she was also named an All-Star as a rookie. Led by the sharpshooting guard, the Fever put an end to their playoff drought.

The year 2024 was very kind to Clark. That said, based on her current trajectory, there's plenty in store for her in the years to come.

Sabrina Ionescu also leaves comment on Caitlin Clark's Instagram post

While Caitlin Clark's brother decided to be funny with his comment, others left heartfelt messages to the emerging star. Among those to also reply was New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu. She, too, was excited for the road ahead for Clark.

Along with Caitlin Clark, 2024 was also a very good year for Ionescu as well. The fellow No. 1 pick continues to blaze her own path as one of the top stars in the WNBA.

After averaging 18.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists, Ionescu was named an All-Star for a third straight season. Come the postseason, she helped the Liberty take down the Minnesota Lynx to win the WNBA title. It wasn't the only championship Ionescu won in 2024, as she took home a gold medal in the Summer Olympics as well.

Between their high levels of play and strong brands off the court, Ionescu and Clark have a good chance to be some of the main faces in the WNBA for the next generation.
