WNBA couple DiJonai Carrington and NaLyssa Smith are enjoying their offseason after the conclusion of the 2024 season. On Friday, Carrington shared a snap of their night out in New York on Instagram before sharing a video of them as she asked for NYC nightlife recommendations from her followers.
"Y'all what is there to do in New York?" Carrington said in the video.
NaLyssa did her part too, asking for recommendations on her Instagram story while sharing a snap of Carrington.
"NYC nightlife where should we go," Smith asked on the question sticker on her IG story.
Carrington and Smith faced each other when the Connecticut Sun took on the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA playoffs' first round. The Sun defeated the Fever 2-0 in the best-of-three series to advance to the second round.
Carrington's Sun faced the Minnesota Lynx for their semifinal series, which concluded with the Lynx advancing to the WNBA Finals after defeating the Sun 3-2 in the best-of-five series.
Carrington averaged 13.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals in the 2024 postseason. Meanwhile, Smith averaged 2.0 rpg in two postseason games.
Carrington and Smith were previously teammates at Baylor University and have been in a relationship since 2022. Carrington was picked 20th overall in the 2021 WNBA Draft, while Smith went second overall in the 2022 draft.

DiJonai Carrington shared a birthday tribute to her older brother, Darren Jr. Carrington, on Saturday. The Connecticut Sun star posted a photo of the two on Instagram, taken on the New York Liberty’s home court, along with a heartfelt message.
"Happy birthday to my twinnnnnnnnn!!!! I love you so much !!!!!" DiJonai captioned her IG story.
Darren Carrington was previously a wide receiver for the Oregon Ducks. However, his promising football career ended when he was arrested for driving under the influence.
DiJonai and Darren are the children of former NFL player Darren Carrington and former track athlete Vickie Carrington. They also have a younger sister, Diarra, a coach for the West Coast Breeze of The Basketball League.
