Connecticut Sun guard DiJonai Carrington shared her appreciation for model and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian, who gifted her a Beats X Kim Beats Pill. Kardashian’s special edition collaboration with Beats By Dre includes the Beats Studio Pro headphones, Beats Pill speakers and Beats Fit Pro wireless earbuds, all available in neutral, muted tones.
On her Instagram story, Carrington posted about the package she received, expressing her thanks to Kardashian and the audio company.
The package included a note from Kardashian, saying:
“Hi! I’m so happy to share my new Beats Pill with you. It’s designed to look and sound incredible anywhere you take your music. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”
Carrington, a rising star in the WNBA, has a unique connection with Kardashian through a recent ad campaign for Kardashian's brand, SKIMS. Launched before the WNBA season, the campaign featured Carrington alongside other notable players.
“When you’re on the court, nothing else matters,” Carrington says in the ad.
DiJonai Carrington capped off a remarkable season by winning the league’s Most Improved Player award. She posted averages of 12.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game, playing a key part in guiding the Sun to the playoffs, where they eliminated Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever in the opening round.
However, the team’s playoff run concluded in the following round after a hard-fought five-game series against the Minnesota Lynx.
DiJonai Carrington talks about being part of campaign for Kim Kardashian’s brand
Kim Kardashian co-founded SKIMS with entrepreneur Jens Grede in June 2019, and the brand has expanded significantly, becoming the official underwear partner of the WNBA for the 2024 season.
Ahead of the season, SKIMS launched a campaign featuring WNBA stars, including Candace Parker, Cameron Brink, Kelsey Plum, Skylar Diggins-Smith and DiJonai Carrington, modeling items from the brand's Fits Everybody collection in nude-toned SKIMS underwear.
Commenting on her role in the SKIMS campaign, Carrington said (per WNBA.com):
“I absolutely love SKIMS, and I’m thrilled to be part of this campaign. From post-game to travel days and beyond, SKIMS is the perfect brand for me. I love how lightweight and soft the Fits Everybody underwear is, and I’m obsessed with SKIMS for everyday wear.”
Since SKIMS’ partnership with the NBA, WNBA and USA Basketball last fall, the brand has made waves with its viral campaigns, including ones featuring OKC NBA stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Donovan Mitchell and more.
