DiJonai Carrington commented on her girlfriend, Indiana Fever star NaLyssa Smith's Instagram post providing her comfort. The post featured a picture of Smith sitting on the basketball court while looking at her smartphone. It also included three video highlights of Smith from this season.

Carrington's comment complied with the motivational caption her girlfriend had used in her post after she saw drastically reduced playtime.

"Never denied only delayed. Everything is gods timing," Carrington wrote.

Smith has seen less playing time as her coach, Christie Sides, has tweaked her team's lineups. In her first game against the Phoenix Mercury after the international break, Smith saw 28 minutes of game time.

However, in her next contest, against the Seattle Storm, Smith's minutes were cut as she only logged twenty minutes. In the Fever's latest game, that time was reduced to only ten minutes.

Subsequently, Carrington shared her post, encouraging Smith to be patient. Smith averages 11.0 points and 7.6 rebounds.

The Indiana forward praised her partner's performance against the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday. Smith called her 'tough' for dropping 19 points that game. The Sun's guard helped her team win against the Sparks.

Carrington has become an indispensable asset for the Suns this season. She averages 12.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Smith and Carrington's relationship dates back to their collegiate days when they were teammates at Baylor. The couple had a brief downtime last year. However, they have resolved their issues and now seem happy together.
