WNBA fans shared unfiltered reactions after a video surfaced showing Angel Reese practicing her 3-point shooting during the offseason. In the video, posted online on Saturday, the Chicago Sky star is seen honing her catch-and-shoot skills with a couple of trainers.

Some fans on social media were less than impressed by Reese’s focus on shooting and took the chance to poke fun at the one-time WNBA All-Star.

"Draymond her shooting coach?" a fan wrote.
"Let’s maybe start with teaching her how to make a lay up? Girl should be doing Mikan Drills non stop and nothing else," wrote another.
"That technique is so ass. That will get swatted into outer space if she was guarded," a user wrote.
"Too slow or a release. Shoots with 2 hands. Brings the ball down on the catch. You need someone who really understands the mechanics of shooting to provide the 1-on-1 instruction you need," another fan commented.
"How is this playing to her strengths? It's the plan to move her away from the basket and change her game? If so, I don't get it. She's built for in close. Hone those skills. Rebounds/Layups - over and over. Nothing else," another user wrote.
"How are the coaches not tearing down everything she does with that shot, and fundamentally rebuilding everything she knows about shooting? Just awful form, and it looks worse in that clip, than it did last year," said another X user.

Angel Reese's 3-point shooting

Angel Reese is not known for her shooting and has yet to establish herself as even a decent 3-point shooter in her young career. During her rookie season in the WNBA, the former LSU standout shot just 18.8% from beyond the arc. Additionally, the Chicago Sky star has been a reluctant shooter from long range, seldom attempting 3-pointers during games.

In the 2024 WNBA season, Reese attempted only 16 3-point shots across 34 games, successfully making just three of them.

During her four-year college career at Maryland and LSU, Reese attempted a total of 32 3-point shots in 116 games, converting just five. This resulted in a college career 3-point shooting percentage of 15.6%.

Meanwhile, Reese will next be seen in action during the inaugural season of the 3x3 Unrivaled basketball league. Co-founded by New York Liberty superstar Breanna Stewart and Minnesota Lynx standout Napheesa Collier, the league is scheduled to tip off in January 2025.
