Dwyane Wade recently shared that he will be one of the next guests in Angel Reese's "Unapologetically Angel" podcast. Wade dropped a teaser on social media plus a heartfelt reaction to his daughter Kaavia James sitting on the Chicago Sky's star lap during a break in the filming.
In a post on his Instagram stories, Wade revealed that he's going to be in a future episode of Reese's podcast. The Miami Heat legend brought along his family, including his youngest daughter, Kaavia James, who playfully sat on Angel's lap.
Here's what Wade wrote in the story:
"Bigger than 🏀"
Angel Reese recently launched her podcast and it has been a hit for the Chicago Sky star. Reese will have all offseason to film a bunch of episodes, although some Sky veterans are expected to organize a workout to improve the team's chemistry.
The 22-year-old forward missed the final six games of the season due to a wrist injury. She underwent surgery to correct the issue and is expected to fully recover by the end of January for her debut for the Unrivaled League.
Dwyane Wade is on Reese's podcast possibly due to the Chicago connection. Reese plays for the Sky, while Wade played for the Bulls late in his career. The Miami Heat legend is from Chicago and was born and raised on the south side of the city. He's also a part-owner of the Sky franchise.
Wade spent the majority of his career with the Heat but left the franchise in free agency in 2016. He signed with his hometown Bulls, averaging 18.3 points in 60 games. He lasted just one year before getting traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers to team up with LeBron James.
Dwyane Wade's thoughts on the Angel Reese-Caitlin Clark rivalry
Speaking to the Associated Press back in July, Dwyane Wade gave his thoughts on the rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. Wade loves the rivalry and even thought that it was good for the WNBA. Being a part-owner of the Chicago Sky, he had no bias when asked about Reese and Clark.
"You have fan bases drawn to Caitlin Clark because of who she is and what she represents and you have fan bases drawn to Angel Reese because of who she is and what she represents which brings in more attention, more sellouts, more jersey sellouts," Wade said.
The Sky is not the only sports team Wade has an investment in. He's also a part-owner of the Utah Jazz, as well as the newly-established Seatle Kraken in the NHL.
