WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark has been in the public eye mostly for her on-court performances but little is known about her off-court dealings, especially with her boyfriend Connor McCaffery as she has kept the details of their relationship tight.

However, McCaffery revealed to Times Union in March details of how they met and started dating.

"We were always friends," McCaffery said. "Our teams hung out together. We had good relationships with the women's team and we just eventually started hanging out. Really, at first, it was no different than it had ever been. It was just kind of easy how it all worked out, you know."

Their relationship started when they both attended the University of Iowa. Spring of 2023 was pivotal for him as he graduated from college, landed an assistant coaching role with the Indiana Pacers and made his relationship with her official.

It was Clark who made their relationship public when she posted a photo of them on a boat. McCaffery has since been supportive of the Indiana Fever star and Clark has returned the favor by supporting his coaching career.

Caitlin Clark sets new record with trading card

Caitlin Clark has been a revelation since her college days and has broken and created numerous records. In September, she set a card record which she broke the next month. On Saturday, she reset another record for a WNBA trading card price.

Her trading card sold at an auction for $234,850. This doubled the previous record for a WNBA card, which was $97,212.54.

Additionally, October's sale is the second most expensive card in the women's sports category, behind the one set by tennis legend Serena Williams. This just shows how impactful Clark has been in her short stay in professional basketball.
