Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are set to play together for the first time in their careers. After multiple duels at the collegiate level and in the WNBA, the forward and the guard will share touches tomorrow night as Team WNBA faces off against Team USA in the 2024 All-Star Game.

When asked about having the chance to play alongside Clark, Reese had an intriguing response to express her feelings about this tandem.

"Yeah, looking forward to it. Everybody can wear their get-along shirts together, for one day at least. I know a lot of people gonna come and what us, but there's a lot of talent within both rosters of the teams, so they're in for a good one," Reese told reporters earlier today.

Reese gave a deeper response later.

“Obviously, that’s what everybody wants to see,” Reese said. “We got a lot of pick and roll in practice today. It’s going to be really cool playing with each other. Obviously, everybody can cheer for both of us. That’s really cool.”

It's unclear if this was a jab at Clark, but seeing Reese smiling after saying that, perhaps she was talking about the fact that they won't have to compete against one another for one night. After the game, they can be competitive again, but for this one night, they'll have a common goal.

Caitlin Clark shares her thoughts about playing with Angel Reese

Caitlin Clark didn't mince words when talking about this new partnership, noting that it's big for her and Angel Reese to become All-Stars as rookies. All in all, she shared her excitement about playing alongside the former LSU star.

"Yeah it's gonna be fun I think," Clark said. "Obviously as two rookies getting to share this experience for the first time...it's super rare to be here as a rookie. And then to have two of us here I think it's just really great overall. I think obviously, the fans are going to be very excited about it but I'm excited to share the court honestly with everybody."

These two players have made a notable impact on the WNBA this season. Thanks to their new stars, the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever have become entertaining and competitive teams. Once the league resumes activities, fans hope to see Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark fighting to make it to the playoffs.
