Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese expressed her admiration for acclaimed gymnast Simone Biles on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday. Biles once again made the US proud with her performances at the 2024 Paris Olympics, making history as the fourth American female artistic gymnast to participate in three Olympic games.

Biles secured gold medals in both the team and all-around events. Her fans have showered her with support throughout her Olympic journey. One person who has been particularly impressed is Reese, who expressed how happy and proud she was for her fellow US athlete.

"SIMONE SAID F AROUND AND FIND OUT! OKAY SISTAAAAA🥳🤭👸🏽👑, " Reese posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Biles added two Olympic gold medals to her tally at the Paris 2024 Olympics. She won four gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics in team, all-around, vault and floor exercise events. She also won a bronze medal in 2016 for the balance beam event.

The decorated gymnast also participated in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but failed to win a gold. Biles finished the Olympics that year with a silver and bronze medal for team and balance beam events, respectively.

Angel Reese is back in practice

The WNBA players were given a break in the middle of the season due to the Olympics. Their break started after the All-Star game on July 21 and will end on August 14. During the break, Angel Reese took the time to travel to Europe and show support to Team USA in their showcase game against Germany.

Reese also visited Paris for the Olympic events and unwind during her break. Unfortunately, the break has now come to an end as the former LSU star is back in practice with her teammate, Chennedy Carter. The Sky rookie posted on her Instagram to show that she's back in practice and ready to take on the rest of the WNBA season.

"And just like that we backkkk [sic]," Reese posted a video of her and Carter on her Instagram.

So far this season. Reese has played 24 games and has been outstanding. She's averaging 13.5 points, 11.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists and was named an All-Star for the first time. She also set a record for having the most consecutive double-doubles.

The forward had 15 straight double-doubles in the first half of the WNBA season, breaking Candace Parker's record, who had 12 in her career. Reese started the season strong and her fans are expecting her to do more of the same in the second half.

The Sky will resume their season on Thursday, August 15, against the Phoenix Mercury.
