Caitlin Clark was at the Golden State Warriors-Phoenix Suns game courtside on Saturday. The Indiana Fever star attended the game with her brothers, Colin and Blake Clark. Colin is her younger sibling, while Blake is the eldest among the three. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year has been in Phoenix with her family the past few days, attending boyfriend Connor McCaffery's Butler Bulldogs games.
Connor, one of Iowa coach Fran McCaffery's three sons, is an assistant coach for the NCAA program. Connor's brother Patrick also plays for Butler. However, with their tournament over, Caitlin found some time to catch live NBA action outside Indiana. Before this, she frequently attended Pacers games, showing support for her friend, Tyrese Haliburton.
After finally being sighted at an NBA game, fans reacted to Caitlin's presence. One troll mocked the Bulldogs, saying:
"Caitlin Clark watching real basketball and not that Butler crap!"
Another said she's adding to the star power in this game with Steph Curry and Kevin Durant in action.
"Caitlin Clark courtside? Even more star power for this Warriors Suns showdown!"
One fan speculated that she's a future Phoenix Mercury legend:
"Future Mercury legend"
Another fan commented:
"She wants to be a Mercury"
One fan mocked the Warriors, saying:
"Unfortunately she has to watch the Warriors play tonight."
One fan said:
"get her on the warriors"
NBA recruiting Caitlin Clark for a 3-point contest at All-Star game ft. Steph Curry
Caitlin Clark and the NBA could be brewing a special collaboration soon. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Steph Curry and Sabrina Ionescu are recruiting Clark and Klay Thompson to join them for a 3-point shooting contest like last season when Curry and Ionescu went head-to-head.
While many complained and criticized the All-Star event for ample things, including the game itself, the Curry vs. Ionescu 3-point contest received immense praise from all over. Since then, Clark's inclusion in this kind of event has been speculated and demanded by many fans.
That could be a reality in the Bay Area for the 2024 All-Star in three months. Charania said the event will likely happen, but it remains to be seen who are the participants.
While there's no official word yet, all signs point towards Caitlin Clark being available for this contest. Sabrina Ionescu also teased the possibility of that after naming Clark as one of the WNBA players she would team up with for an All-Star 3-point shooting contest.
