Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever still have just one win

The Indiana Fever landed the top pick in the 2024 draft for a reason. That reason being they just aren't a very good team right now. Last year, they ended the season with a 13-27 record. So far this year, they only have one win out of eight games.

Their one win this season came against rookie Cameron Brink and the LA Sparks on May 24 (78-73). Caitlin Clark struggled in that game, scoring only 11 points on 4-for-14 shooting.

As a result of the Fever's struggles, several fans have called for head coach Christie Sides to be fired. This sentiment has increased since their last game where Clark dropped 30 points.

For a few seasons now, though, having a losing season has been a common occurrence for the Fever. The last time they had more wins than losses in a season was in 2015 when they went 20-14. They also made it all the way to the finals that year where they lost to the Minnesota Lynx.

In 2016, they had an equal number of wins and losses (17-17) and got eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Every season since then, they've lost more games than they've won. The most wins they've had since 2016 were 13 games (2019 and 2023).

However, with the team drafting Caitlin Clark, Fever fans are hoping that the franchise can turn it around and get back to winning ways.
