DiJonai Carrington and NaLyssa Smith are two of the WNBA's biggest rising stars. The two began dating during their time in college with the Baylor Bears back in the 2020-21 season and faced off in the playoffs this campaign. On that occasion, Carrington's Connecticut Sun toppled Smith's Indiana Fever in the opening round.
On Saturday afternoon, Carrington shared a look at her all-black outfit, drawing a wholesome reaction from her girlfriend, NaLyssa Smith.
"Fine s**t pretty face adorableeeee," Smith shared in an Instagram story, reposting Carrington's snaps of her outfit.
"Look at dat pretty face," Smith shared in a second story post.
Both NaLyssa Smith and DiJonai Carrington both enjoyed successful 2024 WNBA campaigns. Smith averaged 10.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks per game, shooting a career-high 48% from the field.
Carrington burst onto the scene in 2024 with her best WNBA season to date. In her first season as a starter, Carrington averaged 12.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.6 apg and 1.6 spg, shooting 40.3% from the field, winning the WNBA Most Improved Player award for her efforts.

As NaLyssa Smith and DiJonai Carrington continue to develop as WNBA stars, their value to their respective teams continues to grow. Smith and Carrington proved valuable ahead of the WNBA expansion draft.
With the WNBA's 13th team, the Golden State Valkyries, set to tip off their inaugural season in 2025, the league opened an expansion draft for its newest team on Friday night. Golden State selected teammates of Carrington and Smith, picking Veronica Burton, formerly of the Connecticut Sun, and Temi Fagbenle, formerly of the Indiana Fever.
Phoenix included Carrington as one of their six protected players and Indiana included Smith in their list of protected players, keeping them on their respective teams and preventing them from being selected in the expansion draft.
