The LA Sparks have been garnering attention after getting a much-needed retooling after drafting Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson in the 2024 WNBA draft. With more eyes on the team, they were invited to the Jennifer Hudson Show.
Along with the Sparks rookies, Lexie Brown and Deanica Hamby were invited as guests to the show. The show's official YouTube channel released clips on May 30.
Sparks fans were quick to find the videos giving their cheers and opinions about the guests.
"Finest team in the W," said yop.
One would even say that the bunch of Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson are the prettiest ladies in the WNBA.
"The pretty women of the league," comments QUINGST.
"LA sparks have a beautiful team," Od complimented.
Brink's fans were in the comment section commenting on her fashion outfit choices and looks.
"Cameron Brink just nailed the outfit," said @LakersPixie.
"Cam ain't showing legs? Shocked," JoeMess observes.
A few fans felt that Jennifer Hudson should not be even asking about WNBA players' height and be amazed by their stature.
"I know they sick of talking about their height," said Magnolia 'Lia' Reynolds.
"Um yeah? They’re basketball players," comments @goyard23two.
"Why did I thnk this Family Feud at first?" asks Odera.
Jennifer Hudson asks Cameron Brink about having Steph Curry as a godbrother
Cameron Brink was a popular figure in women's basketball even before entering the WNBA but having Steph Curry as her 'god brother' added to the hype.
Jennifer Hudson asked the WNBA rookie what it was like to have the four-time NBA champion as someone she could turn to for her professional basketball career. Brink shed light on her relationship with Steph Curry and their family.
"I kind of made that term up," said Brink on calling Steph Curry her 'godbrother' at the 4:16 mark. "He's just a really close family friend. His mom is my godmother and she was there at the draft with me-- and that meant the world but I remember FaceTiming him two minutes before the draft started and all I said was like I'm so afraid to fall on my face walking up the steps."
So far in six WNBA games, Cameron Brink has averaged 9.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.0 blocks. The LA Sparks have a 2-6 record to start the 2024 season.
