The impact that Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have made on the WNBA cannot be overstated. The league's popularity is growing and ratings, and attendance figures have skyrocketed since the arrival of the two talented rookies.

WNBA veteran Lexie Brown provided her views about the influence the two stars have had on the league. Brown, who has competed against both Clark and Reese, has been impressed by what she has seen so far.

"They both can be amazing at the same time," stated Brown.

Brown understands what it takes to be successful in this league. The 29-year-old was a top prospect coming out of Duke University and was selected as the ninth overall pick in the 2018 draft. She won a championship with the Chicago Sky in 2021 and has played in over over 150 WNBA games with four different teams.

Indiana Fever's rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has been outstanding this season. The 22-year-old Iowa native leads her team with 17.9 points per game, but Brown believes that her vision and ability to distrbute the ball is what makes her a threat in the league.

"The way she sees to court and passes the ball is really impressive," said Brown.

Regarding Angel Reese, Brown went on highlight the Chicago Sky forward's determination and perseverance.

"The way she goes after those rebounds. No matter what, if they are winning, they're up 10, they're down 10, they're getting blown out. Like she plays hard as s**t," added Brown.

The league has seen a significant growth in numbers since the arrival of the two competitors. The Clark-Reese rivalry has been one of the main talking points of the season, and it has brought with it a whole new group of fans to the WNBA.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have hit the ground running since making the jump to the pros. Strong performances from both players have put their respective teams in the playoff picture. They were also selected to play in the All-Star game as rookies.

Angel Reese has proven to be one of the WNBA's top rebounders and leads the league with 12.9 rebounds per game. Earlier this year, she broke the record for the most consecutive double-doubles (15) in league history. Last week, Reese secured 22 rebounds against the Las Vegas Aces to become the first player to record three straight 20-rebound games.

Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark has also added her name to the history books after breaking a few records. On July 6, she became the first rookie to secure a triple-double, finishing with 19 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds. Last month, she broke the single-game assists record after logging 19 against the Dallas Wings.

The WNBA Rookie of the Year has been a back-and-forth battle and will likely go down to the wire. It will be interesting to see which of the two talents win the coveted prize at the end of the season.
