The France women's basketball team is the reigning bronze medalist from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. They should be looking to repeat the feat or even possibly reach the final to go for gold or silver. They have the homecourt advantage given that this year's games will be in Lille and Paris.
Les Bleues finished their preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics with a perfect 5-0 record in exhibition games. They started with a couple of easy wins over Finland 129-50 and 117-59. They then beat Serbia 85-63, a game that started close before France pulled away in the second quarter.
In the final two exhibition games, France faced off against two Asian powerhouse teams in Japan and China. They made it look easy with a pair of victories – 75-62 over Japan and 93-76 over China.
