Over the weekend, Angel Reese attended the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards in New York at the American Museum of Natural History. The event was attended by several notable celebrities and figures, from Paris Hilton to acclaimed musician Erykah Badu.
After going from her final year in the NCAA straight into the 2024 WNBA season, Angel Reese has had an incredibly busy schedule over the past few months. After suffering a wrist injury that contributed to the Chicago Sky missing the playoffs, Reese shifted her focus to rehabbing her wrist injury.
Now, ahead of the inaugural season of Unrivaled, the 3x3 league founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, Reese is enjoying some down, which she has spent working on her podcast.
Over the weekend, however, she traveled to New York for the CFDA Fashion Awards, where she wore a white dress and coat by Jonathan Simkhai and shoes designed by Gianvito Rossi.
The outfit caught the attention of the WNBA community, as well as some notable wives of NBA legends like Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade.
Angel Reese included a number of photos in a post on Instagram, captioning it:
"I could be all the way covered and still giving SEXY."
Angel Reese signs extension with Reebok which includes signature shoe in 2026
Attending the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards wasn't the only notable fashion move Angel Reese made this week. In addition to attending the fashion event, she also signed an extension with Reebok last week.
After previously signing a NIL deal with Reebok while playing NCAA basketball at LSU, Reese and Reebok have agreed to an extension that includes a signature shoe. Following a successful rookie season, Reese will get a signature shoe in her third year in the league.
Reebok Head of Basketball, Jide Osifeso, released a statement to ESPN on the situation, praising the Sky star and reaffirming the brand's commitment to her:
“Reebok and Angel are growing together every day and our visions for the future are aligned. We’re excited to continue the relationship with a ground-up build of her signature silhouette.”
Between now and when Reese's first signature shoe drops, the expectation is that she will likely continue to wear customized models of Reebok's existing basketball shoe line.
