Dallas Wings forward and 2023 Most Improved Player of the Year winner, Satou Sabally, was a guest on the latest (Jun. 10, 2024) episode of 'Podcast P' hosted by Paul George. During the episode, PG and his co-hosts asked Sabally about a viral moment involving her and an NBA player.

The viral moment was when former Dallas Mavericks player Grant Williams approached Sabally and the two hugged after the Wings beat the Atlanta Dream in last year's WNBA playoffs to advance to the next round.

"Grant [Williams] and I are friends," Sabally said. "And we've been friends before the situation. I don't know why his contact was open. He had my number already."

This moment between Sabally and Grant Williams gained plenty of fan attention. Many joked that Williams was trying to get Sabally's contact details, especially after someone zoomed in on a still showing Williams had his contact details pulled up on his phone while speaking with Sabally. On the podcast, Sabally clarified that Williams already had her number before this viral moment.

Sabally added that as a member of the WNBPA, she sometimes reaches out to Williams for advice since he is the current vice president of the National Basketball Players Association.
