The trajectory of Kai Cenat's professional basketball career has earned him some comparisons to the Chicago Sky's Angel Reese. However, the comparisons weren't used to praise the former Twitch streamer. Instead, they were made to troll him.
In his debut game in the Little Ballers Association, Kai Cenat posted a stat line of eight points, 20 rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
This led to fans trolling him for having a stat line comparable to Reese's in the WNBA.
"He's the Angel Reese of the LBA" one tweet said.
"Angel Reese 2.0," another person tweeted.
"He think he’s Angel Reese," one person chimed in.
Others trolled Kai Cenat for registering this kind of performance while playing with kids.
"This n**** Kai Cenat got a Angel Reese stat line against children," one person said.
"N**** playing like angel reese with a bunch of kids lol," another joked.
"Angel reese type s***," a fan added.
Kai Cenat announced on X on Sept. 22 that he was quitting streaming to become a professional basketball player. He also followed this up by making the same announcement during a livestream.
It was later revealed that the streamer was playing in the LBA (Little Basketball Association) which is a fictional league that he created for streaming purposes. The league held a draft where Kai Cenat was taken last by the New York City Skyscrapers.
His first career game, where the Skyscrapers took on the Dallas Giants, was streamed on his Twitch channel

Former Knicks point guard offers advice for Kai Cenat amid Angel Reese comparisons
Kai Cenat is popular worldwide for his live streams. In fact, he has had celebrity guests appear in some of his streams, including Kevin Hart, 21 Savage, Tyla and Nicki Minaj.
Now, former NBA point guard Dennis Smith Jr. can be added to the list of people who have been on one of Kai Cenat's live streams.
Smith Jr. was interviewed late in the third quarter of the game where he shared some insight into the streamer's game. Smith Jr. initially said that Kai Cenat needed to score some points as he had been scoreless to that point.
After that, Smith Jr. was asked what advice he had for the streamer.
"My advice to him would be, get back to streaming man. That's what you're really good at," Smith Jr. said.
However, the point guard praised the team that Kai Cenat put together and said that he might have a future as a GM. Smith Jr. later extended an invitation to the streamer to get in the gym with him so that he can work on his game.
Dennis Smith Jr. is currently a free agent. Last season, he played in 58 games for the Brooklyn Nets. He averaged 6.6 points and 3.6 assists as a role player coming off the bench.
