WNBA rookie Angel Reese shared her fantasy of representing Team USA with Caitlin Clark in the future. Both rookies were named All-Stars for this season after the incredible work they've done.

On July 20, they'll be teammates for the first time in their careers and the former LSU standout is looking forward to having more chances of playing together.

The WNBA has a unique format for their All-Star game this season. The players selected to play at the event will all team up to play against Team USA.

The league has named Reese and Clark alongside the following players for the All-Stars:

DeWanna Bonner, Aliyah Boston, Allisha Gray, Dearica Hamby, Brionna Jones, Jonquel Jones, Kayla McBride, Kelsey Mitchell, Arike Ogunbowale and Nneka Ogwumike.

Their opponents will be:

Napheesa Collier, Kahleah Copper, Chelsea Gray, Brittney Griner, Sabrina Ionescu, Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum, Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, Alyssa Thomas, A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young.

All the players from both teams are WNBA players. For Reese, she's excited to play alongside Clark for the first time. But she has big plans for 2028, to suit up for Team USA with her on-court rival.

"It's gonna be really cool. I know so many fans are gonna come out to watch both of us but I know a lot of people are just gonna be able to come to Phoenix, I'm sure it's already sold out," Reese said.
"Being able to be in that environment, we're gonna be playing together for a while. Also, this is not going to be the first time. Hopefully, 2028 we'll be Olympians together."

Both players have had experience playing for Team USA before, but never together. Reese's recent stint with the national team was during the 2023 FIBA Women's AmeriCup, where she finished with the silver medal.

For Clark, the last time she played for the USA was in 2021, for the FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup.

Former NFL star picks Angel Reese as his Rookie of the Year

Both Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are betting it out to win the WNBA's Rookie of the Year this season.

Reese has been a dominant double-double machine, while Clark has gradually broken records. According to Shawne Merriman, both players have done great in their own right but the Sky rookie has shown more promise.

"I think you can’t go wrong with you giving it to Angel Reese," Merriman said. "What she’s doing right now, and those numbers are historic, so you would almost have to give it to her."

The former NFL player mentioned that Clark is his favorite. However, he believes that Reese has done more this season than the Indiana Fever star.
