There is no question that the WNBA is reaching new heights of popularity this season and a huge part of that is the latest crop of rookies to enter the league. The addition of college superstar Caitlin Clark as well as other big names such as Angel Reese and Cameron Brink have greatly contributed to the league's continued growth.
Basketball fans have started checking out games from the women's professional league for the first time this year and many have started tuning in regularly. This trend has also affected celebrities including such as YouTube star Mr. Beast.
The internet celebrity admitted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that before this season, he had never seen a WNBA game.
While Caitlin Clark is a huge proponent for the WNBA's growth, she is not the only person to thank for the hoops fans tuning in regularly.
Many are seeing that female basketball players can put on a great show on the hardwood as well. Additionally, fans are realizing that the women's league also has plenty of interesting narratives and drama similar to the yearly happenings in the NBA.

Aside from WNBA admission, Mr. Beast also gives his prediction for NBA Finals on X
Mr. Beast appears to be a huge basketball fan based on his recent activity on X. Not only did he admit to becoming a viewer of WNBA games, but he also shared with the world which team he thinks will become this year's NBA champion between the Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics.
Mr. Beast believes that the Mavs are winning this year. Initially, in response to a post from June 7, he predicted that the series would conclude in six games in favor of Luka Doncic and company.
However, after the results of Game 2 on Sunday, the YouTube star revised his statement. He did not change his mind on the fate of the Mavs, he simply adjusted it.
"Mavs in 7," Mr. Beast posted on X.
With the series currently sitting at 2-0 in favor of the Boston Celtics, it is still entirely possible for the Dallas Mavericks to win the next four and end the series in six games. But considering how Game 1 and 2 went for the Mavs, betting on the series to go to a seventh game is safer.
The Mavs' backs are against the wall now, though, and if they have any hopes of making Mr. Beast's predictions come true, they will need to step up.
One advantage that they'll have working for them is the fact that the series will now shift to Dallas where they get to play with homecourt advantage.
