Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter and coach Teresa Weatherspoon shared an emotional moment after the team's 78-69 win over the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday. The moment transpired during the post-game press conference after coach Weatherspoon lavished immense praise on Carter, calling her an All-Star.
Weatherspoon reflected on Carter's growth as a player as the 25-year-old continued to impact winning with another superb showing on the court.
"She’s (Chennedy Carter) coachable. That’s why you see what you see. I coach Chennedy hard. I coach Chennedy extremely hard because I can. She responds. She responds to me because she knows I’m not asking for something to do that she can’t do," Weatherspoon told reporters.
“This guard right here can do anything. She does whatever she wants to out there, and it’s hard to stop it. So, I coach her hard because I want her to live up to those agreements every night.
"So, I’m going to tell you guys this again. You can write it, do whatever you want to. That’s our all-star right there," the Sky coach added.

Chennedy Carter shows love to coach Weatherspoon
Chennedy Carter is enjoying a stupendous campaign from an individual standpoint. Along with rookie Angel Reese, Carter has spearheaded the Sky's charge this season.
Carter responded to Weatherspoon's praise and revealed how the coach's backing has helped her elevate her game to the next level, saying:
"I think it really just brings out the best in me. I’ve been in situations where coaches haven’t always had my back. (Teresa Weatherspoon) has my back on and off the floor, and that brings out the best in me.
I love being here. It’s something special and I’m just so thankful to be a part of something like this, two years coming. I was literally crying in the car yesterday like, God, I appreciate you so much for putting me where I belong."
Carter missed out on being named an All-Star. Having said that, she hasn't been affected by the snub and continues to keep her foot on the pedal. Carter's consistent production is one of the main reasons behind Chicago Sky's 9-12 record this season.
