Chennedy Carter is living her best life in China. After her best WNBA season, the WNBA star traveled to China to play for Wuhan Shengfan. Since arriving in China, Carter has been actively posting updates on her social media and her latest post was about her hearty meal at a restaurant in Wuhan.
The Chicago Sky star posted a picture of the almost finished big meal on her Instagram story on Sunday and wittingly wrote that she was fat.
"Yes I am fat and can eat," Carter wrote in the caption.
She ordered pasta, Lamb Chops, a California Roll, a Rainbow Cake and a Brownie. Carter also rated the food on a scale of 10. She rated pasta 9.0, Lamb Chops and Brownie were perfect 10 on 10. She rated Rainbow Cake 7.0 and the California Roll only got 6.5 from her.
Last season, Chennedy Carter played the best basketball of her WNBA career, leading the Sky in multiple offensive categories. She averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game in 26 minutes.
Chennedy Carter hints at potentially leaving Chicago Sky in free agency
The WNBA free agency will open in February next year and some elite league players, like Breanna Stewart and Kelsey Plum, will explore their market in the league.
Last season, Chennedy Carter definitely skyrocketed her value in the league and she is also set to become a free agent in February. However, it seems like the Chicago Sky guard's heart is not set to return to Chicago.
On November 23, Carter made a post on her Threads handle asking fans where she should sign for the next season.
"let’s chat !!! drop the WNBA teams you would like to see me sign with next year 🤭 yall be coaches and gms anyways lol lets see what you think !! 🎸🏁," Carter wrote.
Since being drafted into the WNBA, Carter has been through a lot, finding her place and identity on different teams. After being drafted by the Atlanta Dream in 2020, she played one full season.
However, in 2021, after 11 games, she was suspended from the team for the entire season. The Dream cited "conduct detrimental to the team" as the reason for her suspension. Carter was later traded to the LA Sparks for the 2022 season where she played the fewest minutes of her career.
She took a year break in 2023 to focus on herself and the next season signed with the Sky. Chennedy Carter quickly rose to become the Sky's offensive leader after starting the season from the bench.
