Caitlin Clark reacts comically to missing out on major Indiana event despite having VIP passes

Caitlin Clark keeps winning the hearts of the people of Indianapolis. Despite being in the city for a month now, she's embracing everything the place has to offer her. However, it seems like she missed a notable event in the city despite having privileged access to it.

Talking with reporters ahead of the Indiana Fever's home debut against the New York Liberty, Clark realized she missed Zoobilation, a major event at the Indianapolis Zoo, considered one of the best in the United States.

"I heard the zoo is really good, though," Clark responded when asked which Indianapolis activities she was interested in. "It's like one of the best events of the year, the Zoo ... Zoobilation. So, maybe I’ll hit up Zoobilation. I heard they’re getting new chimpanzees."

Clark sounded excited about going to the event until she asked when it was happening.

"It's good, I wonder when is it. ... Oh, already happened? I missed Zoobalition," Clark said, sparking a big reaction from reporters.

The highly-anticipated event already happened, and Clark missed the chance to attend her first one. Nevertheless, she'll have the chance to visit the zoo and the event for many years, as she's expected to leave a huge mark on the Indiana Fever and the WNBA.

Zoobilation is a black-tie fundraiser held by the Indianapolis Zoo. Clark said she had VIP tickets, but now they're useless. The No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft out of Iowa took the news with humor, but she seemed interested in the event.

Caitlin Clark is ready for home debut with the Fever

After starting the 2024 WNBA season with a 92-71 loss to the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are looking to bounce back on Thursday in their second game of the season. The challenge won't be easy, though, as their opponents are the runners-up of the 2023 WNBA Finals, the New York Liberty.

Led by 2023 WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu, the Liberty are set to take that final step and win the WNBA title. They won their first game of the season against the Washington Mystics on the road.

The Fever are a young team trying to work their way to the top. Led by Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, the team has a bright future. They will test themselves against a championship contender and Clark will have the chance to go against one of the top guards in the game.
