The results for the WNBA MVP voting were released, revealing that Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark finished fourth. The only three people above Clark are two-time MVP Breanna Stewart, four-time WNBA All-Star Napheesa Collier, as well as this year's winner, Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson.

Wilson got all 66 first-place votes, making her the unanimous MVP, while Clark got enough third, fourth, and fifth-place votes to rank fourth. While this is an impressive feat for the rookie, Clark does not seem to care.

She shared these feelings while speaking with the media, while also emphasizing what she is focusing on.

"I mean it's cool, but at the same time I don't really care," Clark said. "My life is very unaffected by that. I'm just gonna try to go out there and help my team. Obviously our goal was to get to the Playoffs, but you know I have a belief that we can come in here and we can win this series."

While it is impressive that Caitlin Clark got enough votes to finish fourth in MVP voting, the league does not award anyone other than the top vote-getter.

At the moment, the focus for Clark and the rest of the Indiana Fever will be on their playoff series against the Connecticut Sun and the amount of votes Clark got for MVP will not help them win any games.

As such, focusing on the series ahead and not dwelling on where she landed in the voting is the best place for Clark's mind.

Caitlin Clark is the unanimous Associated Press WNBA Rookie of the Year for 2024

While she did not win the MVP award, Caitlin Clark did bag a different prestigious individual award. She was named as the Associated Press' Rookie of the Year and she was voted to win it unanimously.

For a while especially earlier in the season, there was a debate on who should win Rookie of the Year, Clark or Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese.

Reese had a strong rookie campaign, logging a total of 26 double-doubles. Even more impressive is the fact that she once recorded a double-double in 15 straight games, which is a league record. Reese also set the record for total rebounds by a rookie with 446.

However, Clark also broke and set several records in her rookie campaign. She surpassed Seimone Augustus for the most points scored in a rookie season with 769. Aside from that, Clark also set the WNBA's single-season assists record with 337.

Clark also became the first rookie in league history to record a triple-double. In fact, she did it twice this season.

While these are all impressive feats, there is perhaps one accomplishment that stands out to Indiana Fever fans. Caitlin Clark's performance this year has helped the team secure a playoff berth, which is the first since 2016.
