Ever since Caitlin Clark made her debut for the Indiana Fever, she has been dubbed the face of the WNBA by pundits and analysts. However, this popularity has also given rise to a narrative where Clark is frequently compared to Angel Reese splitting the community into two.

A videographer for the Minnesota Lynx made a post on X, formerly Twitter, in which he uploaded a picture of the text message he received. The message was rather weird as it accused the videographer of letting the 'culture' down as he was a Clark fan.

The fans flooded the comments section of the videographer's post, expressing their reaction to it.

One fan raised the question about the strange nature of the message.

"So, if you like CC, then you're not Black? Got it."
"What in the name of culture is this," @cc_cultist said.

Other fans joined the fray in expressing their views on the matter.

"Is this Caitlin vs Angel debate turning into a culture war?" @kenta_thuesen said.
"Yet CC fans are the racist ones," @Frannie1870 said.
"You not allowed to just like good basketball anymore?" @RegularJayC said.

A fan apologized on behalf of the strange message the videographer received.

"Sorry man. People are weird," @MindArtist99 said.

Angel Reese's mother reveals hate messages from Caitlin Clark fans
