Seattle Storm rookie Nika Muhl made a lot of fans with her fashion choices even before she was drafted in the WNBA this year. This weekend, the former University of Connecticut star shared a mirror selfie in a brown teddy bear coat outfit that retails for $4,390 on ssense.com.
Muhl posed for a mirror shot with the coat over what seemed to be her gym outfit. It was posted in her Instagram story and was added to her profile’s highlights.
With the tag still on, it remains to be seen if the Storm rookie bought the coat. Muhl has been known for her pre-game outfits, rocking fashion statements every time she entered any arena. She even caught the eye of Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams, who called her WNBA's Rookie of the Year for her outfits.
Muhl was the 14th pick in the second round by the Seattle Storm. The Croatian basketball player, however, had visa issues to start the season, holding her to just 12 games played so far.
Nika Muhl posts romantic picture to celebrate boyfriend’s birthday
While fans admire Nika Muhl’s fit, she keeps her personal life private, including her romantic relationship. In a rare instance, the Seattle Storm rookie went to Instagram and shared a picture of her boyfriend on his birthday on July 23. Her boyfriend, Nahiem Alleyne, then reposted Muhl’s story, which features them sitting on a couch rocking a Seattle Storm official cap and holding a wine glass.
Muhl was wearing a black dress and white rubber shoes, while her boyfriend was donning a grey shirt and brown chino pants to pair with his sunglasses.
Muhl’s boyfriend played Division 1 college basketball for five years, graduating last year. He played in three schools starting with Virginia Tech for three seasons, and one year each with UConn and St. John’s University. However, there seems to be no update about his basketball career since finishing college.
During his year with UConn, he met Muhl and eventually dated her. With them sharing a love of basketball, her boyfriend could help Muhl get her groove in the WNBA as she has yet to score a point in the professional league, while also averaging 0.5 rebounds and 0.1 assists, on 2.8 minutes per game.
The Storm currently stands at 17-8 and is tied with the third-best record in the WNBA after the All-Star weekend. The season has been on a break to give way to the Paris Olympics.
