A'ja Wilson and her fellow Team USA teammates are enjoying the scenery of Paris before the 2024 Olympics commences. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Wilson shared an image of herself wearing Stephen Curry's Olympi -rings glasses during the Opening Ceremony.
The glasses feature the iconic Olympic logo fitted for eyewear purposes.
A'ja Wilson also shared a snap of herself on her Instagram stories and even included Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Ni**as in Paris" single.
With the complete Team USA Ralph Lauren Olympic attire, the specially-made glasses for the Golden State Warriors star certainly added even more flavor to complement the look.
A'ja Wilson talked about honoring the legacy of the previous basketball legends who played for Team USA
In an interview with Olympics writer Maggie Hendricks, A'ja Wilson talked about the importance of celebrating and honoring the legacy of the ones who did it before.
"We were just talking about the legends that have come before us to lay the foundation now," Wilson said, "and it's so key for us to continue to play the game that we love, but just for them as well. I mean, that is a lot. That's a lot on our shoulders. But we do it with grace because we know the standard is gold and we don't show up half ... We have to be at our best."
Team USA Women's Olympic Team has established a strong reputation in the international multi-sport event. Since the 1996 Olympics, the women's basketball Olympic squad has won gold and is on pace to be the first ball club to win eight straight gold medals.
Not many basketball players are equipped to handle the immense pressure of continuing and preserving the reputation that a legendary team worked hard to set in stone.
However, this year's unit has assembled some of the most prominent athletes from the WNBA. All that remains now is to leave everything on the court when the games begin and bring home the gold medal.
