Angel Reese calls herself "League Barbie" in a series of candid pictures

Angel Reese took to X/Twitter to share candid pictures of herself off the floor and had a fancy caption to go along with it. This comes on the back of her stunning the WNBA with her pre-game fits. The latest sees Reese in Chicago Sky practice kits during and after practice. The series of images also saw fans lavish praise on her sense of style and quirky expressions.

Having called herself "Bayou Barbie" and "Chi Barbie", the rookie now had a new name:

"League Barbie"

Earlier, Angel Reese was spotted with a plush $8,497 Chanel bag and a brown jacket ahead of the team's skirmish against the Seattle Storm. And despite her double-double efforts on the night, the Sky went down 86-82.

How has Angel Reese fared for Chicago Sky so far this season?

Those who have followed Angel Reese so far this 2024 WNBA season know the forward has enjoyed a good start to her rookie year, averaging 12.0 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game, after inking a $73,000 contract with the Sky. The No. 7 pick in this year's WNBA draft has cemented herself as the team's second-leading scorer and has managed to hold her own against some of the powerhouses in the league.

After a 12-rebound performance on Tuesday against Seattle, the 6-foot-3 forward reached a milestone as the second player in WNBA history to record 24 offensive rebounds through her first five games. Only Yolanda Griffith, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest rebounders and defensive players in the history of women's basketball, had more (31) through her first five games.

All eyes now will be on her matchup against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever as two of the best players regarded as generational talents will face off for the first time in the WNBA. The game will be played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana on Saturday.

Both Reese and Clark have been touted as the future of the league ever since their NCAA days, and now the world will be eager to see them square off at the highest level. The Fever, though, are the team with the second-worst worst record in the league at 1-7.

As for the team's record, the loss to the Storm saw Angel Reese and Co. fall to 2-3 in the regular season. Last season, they finished 18-22 before losing two straight games in the playoffs to defending champions Las Vegas Aces.
