Angel Reese is making the most out of the long WNBA Olympic break. After playing in the All-Star game, she quickly flew to London to support Team USA in an exhibition game against Germany. The only hiccup in her plans was Delta misplacing her luggage, the reason she didn’t have her usual eye-catching entrance for the USA-Germany showdown.
Once her baggage was returned, she promised more outfits to be “served.” The Chicago Sky rookie didn’t disappoint. She turned heads when she walked the red carpet for Louis Vuitton’s “Prelude to the Olympics” event.
Angel Reese went on Instagram to show that she has more in store for her fans:
Standing in front of a mirror, the “Chi Barbie” posed for photos while wearing a silver Dolce & Gabbana swimsuit. As somebody who loves passion, she has that “it” factor that designers consistently look for in models. Reese is showing her off-court game is just as good as her play on the basketball court.
Reese is fond of wearing designer brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel and is a Reebok endorser. She has an unapologetic personality that extends to her style off the court. Even basketball fans have been clamoring to get a glimpse of her on social or her highly anticipated pregame entrances.
Angel Reese will make a splash when the WNBA enjoys its off-season
As much as her fashion has grabbed the headlines, Angel Reese’s commitment is still in basketball where she vows to continue improving. When the WNBA season resumes in mid-August, she and rival Caitlin Clark will continue their hotly-contested race for the Rookie of the Year award. Just before the league took a break, the Chicago Sky newcomer led in most ROTY rankings.
Whether or not she bags the said award or not, Reese isn’t going to stop trying to develop her game. She will make a splash in the offseason after agreeing to play 3x3 basketball for the newly formed "Unrivaled Basketball" league. Founded by fellow WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, she joins nine other participants who will compete in the lucrative tournament.
Among those who will see action are Olympians Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum, Rhyne Howard, Chelse Gray and All-Star MVP Arike Ogunbowale. "Unrivaled Basketball" will offer opportunities for players to earn something without going overseas. Previously, WNBA players signed contracts in Europe during the offseason.
Angel Reese’s participation is expected to give the tournament a much-needed boost.
