Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark drew some attention with her pre-game outfit ahead of the Connecticut Sun vs. Fever game today. This marked their fourth (and final) matchup against each other this season.
For this game, Clark is focused on helping her team get its first win against the Sun. In the three times they played, the rookie had only one 20-point game. Meanwhile, in their match right before the Olympic break, the former Iowa star scored just 10 points.
Strolling into the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Clark donned a pair of metallic grey pants. She completed her look with a black sweater and a pair of black sneakers.
Take a look at her game day outfit below.
Indiana has little momentum coming off an 84 - 79 win against the Atlanta Dream. Clark contributed 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists to their win. They're currently third in the Eastern Conference, with a 16-14 record.
Carmelo Anthony believes Caitlin Clark is "the real deal"
As a rookie, Clark has been playing incredible basketball. She has silenced the doubters and has consistently shown that she can handle the professional league.
In a recent episode of Carmelo Anthony's "7PM in Brooklyn" podcast, Melo and his co-host, Kid Mero, were asked if fans would see a vengeance tour from Clark after the Olympic break. The former NBA star's response showed nothing but praise for the WNBA rookie.
"She already is," Anthony said.
"She’s only a rookie," he added. "She’s only a couple games in. She’s not even a full season in… She’s the real deal. Let’s not rush this journey. She’s the real deal."
Anthony talked about Clark at the 42:28 mark of the video below.
Indiana has played four games since the regular season resumed, with Clark consistently leading the team in scoring. In that duration, she has scored over 20 points.
The Rookie of the Year candidate is currently averaging 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists. She also improved her efficiency, knocking down 46.3% from the field and 36.8% from beyond the arc.
