Cameron Brink was making an excellent impression before she went down with an injury last week. The LA Sparks rookie was considered a Defensive Player of the Year award candidate until an ACL sidelined her for the remainder of the 2024 WNBA season.

It's been a week since the Sparks confirmed the grim diagnosis, but the forward is already working to get back to the court and has found a notable partner to do so.

Brink on Tuesday shared a series of Instagram pictures showing how her boyfriend, Ben Felter, is helping her through this process.

"So much change, yet so much joy 🤍," she captioned the post.

Cameron Brink entered the WNBA draft as one of the most exciting prospects in recent years. She was picked at No. 2 in April and was showing glimpses of what she could do in the future.

However, things changed for her against the Phoenix Mercury last week, as she drove to the basket against Brionna Jones. She fell, screaming in pain and unable to get up by her own means. Brink was lifted off the court, which was the last image of her rookie season.

Cameron Brink posted heartfelt message after suffering season-ending injury

After the diagnosis was revealed, Cameron Brink shared a touching message on social media, thanking fans for the support and saying that she'll be back stronger from this injury:

"You never think it will happen to you. And despite all the hard work sometimes it does. This is hard to fathom but I know it will only make me stronger. I will not be derailed and I will continue to love this life- I’m not defined by basketball, but it is something that I love deeply and I will work everyday to get back to it.
"It’s not goodbye basketball it’s just a see you later. I’m always so thankful for your thoughts and prayers. 💜💛 #delayednotdenied."

Cameron Brink has become one of the favorite players of many fans across the WNBA. The Sparks forward landed in the league alongside Iowa's Caitlin Clark and LSU's Angel Reese as part of the group of players expected to take the W to new heights.

The Stanford product played 15 games this season, averaging 7.5 points per game, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists. She shot 39.8% from the field and 84.0% from the free-throw line.
