Currently out due to injury, Satou Sabally is focusing on her return to the WNBA with some rest and relaxation. The Dallas Wings star shared snaps of her recent "healing trip" on her Instagram account on Sunday as she relaxed at the Malibu beach, rocking a chic leopard print swimsuit.
"last healing trip 💙," Sabally captioned her IG story.
Satou Sabally is still to make her season debut for the Dallas Wings after she sustained a shoulder injury while playing for Germany in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in February. Sabally underwent surgery for the injury and is expected to return to the WNBA floor after the Olympic break in August.
Wings CEO Greg Bigg had previously commented on Sabally's return and highlighted that the league's reigning Most Improved Player is expected to play for Germany in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
"She's on schedule with her rehab," Bibb said. "We expect Satou to come back around the Olympic break, be ready to compete for Germany in the Olympics, and then see her for sure in a Dallas Wings jersey over the final 15 games of the regular-season post-Olympic break."
Currently in the last spot in the league standings with a 5-19 record, the injury-ridden Dallas Wings look forward to Satou Sabally's return to their roster.
Satou Sabally drops her latest PE kicks inspired by her love for the ocean
After previously dropping the Jordan Luka 3 "Sunflower" colorway around two weeks ago, Satou Sabally soon followed with yet another colorway, "Coral Reefs," of the third installment of Jordan Luka. The player-exclusive shoes feature an oceanic hue and are inspired by her love for the ocean and the reefs.
The two-time WNBA All-Star posted a series of the kicks' snaps on Instagram and coupled the post with a caption that highlighted her love for the ocean and concern for their depletion due to climate change.
"Introducing my 'Coral Reef' PE with @jumpman23," Sabally captioned. "As I get to let my creativity flow, I can play with a shoe that tells stories. I’ve always been interested in the beauty of our oceans and coral reefs, the so called 'rain forest of the sees'. I find peace in the water.
"Unfortunately, we’re losing many reefs due to climate change and I’d love for my future children to experience the beauty Mother Earth gave us. Do you know any organizations around coral reef restoration and ecosystem preservation? If so, tag them in the comments 🪸 let’s connect 🌊 and let’s preserve."
The shoes will remain exclusive to Sabally and will not be available for fans to purchase.
