A clash between the top two teams in the Western Conference standings sees the Las Vegas Aces take on the Minnesota Lynx in a key matchup on Wednesday, with the Aces looking to pick up a big win ahead of Kelsey Plum's 30th birthday.

Upon arriving at Michelob ULTRA Arena, Plum showed off two new Under Armour shoes that were released today, the Breakthru 5 basketball shoe and the Apparition lifestyle shoe featuring Kelsey Plum's signature colorway.

Kelsey Plum and Under Armour announced the release on Instagram earlier this afternoon:

Kelsey Plum inked a deal with Under Armour back in November of 2022 after a breakout year, averaging 20.2 points and 5.1 assists, earning her First-Team All-WNBA honors and finishing third in the WNBA MVP race.

Plum and the Aces are looking for a three-peat with a record of 17-9 so far this season, with 14 games remaining in the regular season.

Post All-Star break, the Aces have split their two games, suffering a loss in a Finals rematch from last season against the New York Liberty on Saturday before defeating an injury-riddled Los Angeles Sparks team on Sunday.

Kelsey Plum and Aces look to climb playoff ladder

While the Aces' talent remains undeniable with a strong core of Kelsey Plum, A'ja Wilson and Jackie Young, the team looks more top-heavy this season with just three players averaging double-figures.

Despite lacking depth this season, anything could happen with that trio leading the charge.

A'ja Wilson is playing at a historic pace, averaging 27.3 ppg, 12.0 rpg, 2.2 apg and 2.8 bpg, Meanwhile, Plum has remained a consistent offensive threat by posting 18.2 ppg and Jackie Young has come into her own over the last three seasons, stepping up as Las Vegas' third star.

The Aces will have the opportunity to pick up a big win at home versus the Commissioner's Cup champions Minnesota Lynx.

Taking down Minnesota at home would pull Las Vegas to within a half-game behind the Lynx for the third seed in the overall WNBA standings.
