In Photos: Kysre Gondrezick dazzles in elegant all-white Chanel ensemble at Essence Fest before stealing a sweet hug from Serena Williams

Kysre Gondrezick’s 2024 WNBA campaign likely ended after the Chicago Sky waived her on June 28. Unless another team picks her up, Gondrezick will finish her season after playing five games for the Sky. She averaged 1.0 points in 3.2 minutes per game.

While Gondrezick hardly got minutes under Teresa Weatherspoon, her off-court game has earned nods and praise from fans.

On Sunday, Kysre Gondrezick attended the Essence Festival. She had on a classic all-White Chanel outfit. White Christian Louboutin heels completed the look that many commented to be classy and simple. She even got a brief hug from legendary tennis champ Serena Williams behind the scenes.

Gondrezick’s pregame outfits have become highly sought after in the WNBA. To satisfy fan demand, she even created a video about how she prepares her looks before games. It's no wonder fans at the event were thrilled to see her.

Fans react to Kysre Gondrezick’s style at the Essence Festival

Ksyre Gondrezick is nowhere near the level of popularity that Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark enjoy in the WNBA. The 2021 No. 4 pick of the Indiana Fever, however, does have her solid support and following. Her pregame entrances have become highly anticipated events in Chicago Sky games.

During her appearance at the Essence Festival, fans reacted to Gondrecick’s presence and style:

Perhaps another WNBA team will give her a shot next year. The Chicago Sky have a guard-heavy lineup with Marina Mabrey, Lindsay Allen and Chennedy Carter all ahead of her in the pecking order. She might be able to find a team that will allow her to show her strengths.

If that happens, Gondrezick’s pregame entrances will again be spectacles for whichever team signs her. If not, they can still follow her in the events she occasionally graces with her presence.
