Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has been having a very momentous rookie season so much as that her team was moved to seek innovative ways to detail every milestone she has achieved for end-of-year award considerations.

The former Iowa Hawkeye standout, this year's top overall pick in the WNBA draft, is strongly in the mix for rookie of the year honors and All-WNBA nod for her strong plays for Indiana.

The Fever are rallying behind her and her teammates, like Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull, who are also up for accolades by providing campaign packages to members of media, listing their season accomplishments.

Interestingly, so extensive are Caitlin Clark's achievements this season that the team struggled to put everything legibly on the space provided in the package, leaving it with no recourse but to generate a QR (quick response) code for media to have a better view of them.

Despite playing only her rookie season, Cailtlin Clark has created a huge ripple in the WNBA. Along with other standout rookies, she has infused added dimension in terms of popularity not only to her team but also to the league in general.

She's also tearing at the record books, establishing new marks galore, the latest the most assist in a single season, to highlight her standing as one of the noted stars in the WNBA.

However, more importantly, she has helped Indiana return to competitiveness, as the Fever are set to return to the playoffs after eight years.


Caitlin Clark appreciates playing for the Fever and fans

Caitlin Clark feels lucky to be playing for the Indiana Fever, as it allows her to be herself on the floor and grow along the way and for fans who have been supportive and embraced her from the start.

The rookie sensation briefly touched on that the Fever's 78-74 loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Friday night at home, highlighting how she couldn't have asked for a better situation to be in for her professional career.

The 22-year-old guard said:

"I feel very lucky to play in this arena and in front of a fanbase that's supporting, you know, women's basketball, like the way they are. It's a true sellout. Like it's packed to the top.
"People are here to scream like; it's hard for us to get tickets too for our family. So I can imagine it's hard for everybody else, but, I think as a player, that's something that you just thrive off of. Like hearing the crowd go crazy. ... So it's definitely fun."

Caitlin Clark and the playoff-bound Fever (19-19) have made a significant leap this season. The rookie guard has been a solid moving piece, posting steady numbers of 19.1 points, 8.4 assists (league-high), 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 36 minutes.

The Fever have two games left in their regular season. They play their final home game on Sunday against the Dallas Wings before finishing things off in Washington on Thursday against the Mystics.
