Breanna Stewart has been ruled out of Tuesday’s game against the Connecticut Sun. The reigning MVP was initially listed as questionable, but the New York Liberty have decided to give her a rest. It is the second game she will miss this season.
The 20-4 Liberty are 1.5 games ahead of the 18-5 Sun for the best record in the WNBA. Stewart’s absence could have a significant impact on the matchup.
In their previous encounter a week ago, New York edged Connecticut 71-68. “Stewie’s” 18-point, 11-rebound and three-block night was instrumental in the win. Without her, the visiting Suns arguably have the advantage in the rematch.
