Fans couldn't believe Caitlin Clark tried to act like she didn't know much about football during her appearance on Travis and Jason Kelce's show "New Heights." The two Super Bowl champions had the WNBA star as their guest on Jan. 2 where she spoke not only about her debut season in the W but other sports.
One fan noticed that Clark tried to keep it cool when talking about the NFL and college football, even correcting the Kelce brothers about players' whereabouts or roles on their teams.
"bro 😭😭😭 'I think that was their backup but like 😏'," this fan tweeted on Thursday.
A lot of other fans reacted to the video, even wondering if she would follow in LeBron James' steps as a well-known liar.
"Is Caitlin a generational capper like Bron? 🤔🤔," one wondered.
"She and LeBron got more in common than just basketball lmao," another joked.
"A Steph Curry disciple no doubt but this girl, and LieBron have something in common🙃," another fan said.
Others laughed at Caitlin Clark's attempt to not look like she's that much into football and praised her for knowing a lot about other sports outside of basketball.
"It’s like she’s trying her hardest not to be her dad but deep down she knows that she’s just like her dad. I bet her dad is THE BALL KNOWER!!" one fan wrote.
Caitlin Clark has shown that she's very passionate about sports, and her knowledge of football shocked some people on social media.
Caitlin Clark shares her thoughts on the challenges of leading the Indiana Fever
In the same conversation with Travis and Jason Kelce, Caitlin Clark talked about the struggles she faced during her rookie season. The former No. 1 overall pick explained that she had to adapt to the Indiana Fever environment on the go.
"You come in as a rookie. ... You're trying to figure out a new environment, new teammates," Clark said. "You don't want to say too much, you don't want to say too little and it's just so hard. ... You're already highly thought of. People are turning to you to be something or be someone."
She added that the uncertainty of how people would take her message was always there.
"I don't know what to say, I don't know how they're going to react."
After winning the 2024 Rookie of the Year award, she's ready to take her game and team to the next level.
