Earlier this week, Breanna Stewart and Team USA had one showcase game before the 2024 Olympics. Following a dominant victory, a member of the New York Liberty took a jab at her superstar teammate.

Team USA dominated Germany in their showcase game, picking up an 84-57 victory. Stewart did a little bit of everything in the win, finishing with 15 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block.

Following Team USA's win over Germany, Breanna Stewart posted a series of photos on her Instagram from the game. One of her WNBA teammates, Nyara Sabally, decided to have some fun in the comments.

Sabally is from Germany and was on the opposing side in this matchup. She finished just shy of a double-double against Team USA, finishing with nine points and 10 rebounds.

The 6-foot-5 center is in the midst of her third year in the WNBA. She was drafted fifth overall by the Liberty in 2022 but was sidelined until 2023 due to injury.

Breaking down Breanna Stewart's career with Team USA

Along with being one of the WNBA's top players, Breanna Stewart has been a key member of Team USA. This summer, she'll look to add another gold medal to her already impressive resume.

Stewart's run with Team USA began in 2014 in the FIBA World Cup. At the time, she was still in college, playing at UConn. Stewart would end up winning the first of her five gold medals.

In 2016, Breanna Stewart was drafted first overall in the WNBA draft by the Seattle Strom. That same year, she made her debut in the Olympics. During that summer, she managed to add a second gold medal to her collection.

Since 2014, Stewart has played for Team USA every other summer. However, this will be just the third time she has suited up in the Olympics. The last time Stewart played for Team USA was in the 2022 World Cup.

Stewart is among the many WNBA stars looking to keep Team USA's gold medal streak alive. If they're able to finish on top, it will be the eighth straight Olympics they come away with gold. Aside from Stewart, other notable names on Team USA's roster include A'ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, Sabrina Ionescu and Diana Taurasi.

When Stewart isn't representing her country in international play, she is solidifying herself as one of the WNBA's top talents. During her eight-year career, she's been a six-time All-Star, two-time champion and two-time MVP.
