Angel Reese addressed the infamous incident she was involved in with Kamilla Cardoso during college. In the 2024 NCAA season, the former LSU star pulled Cardoso's wig in a play that resulted in a scuffle and the Brazilian center's ejection.

In the fourth episode of her Unapologetically Angel podcast, Reese said many people believed she and Cardoso wouldn't get along.

"That's another thing. When I got here, people thought, 'They're not going to be good teammates because Angel pulled her wig when she was in the game and they competed so hard.' It's basketball, bro," Reese said.

Sheryl Swoopes inquired about the reason behind the infamous wig incident in March 2024, with Angel saying:

"It was an accident. I was going for a rebound, something that I wanted, I went to go get it something was in my way, it was a wig. It was an accident, though. You know I would never touch your wig. When I got to the draft, the first thing I made sure I did was apologize to Kamilla 'cause I know we was going to be teammates and that. I was like, 'Kamilla, I want to tell you this right now, I apologize for pulling your wig,'" Reese added.

Angel Reese shoot down low GPA rumors with resurfaced video

Before clarifying that infamous incident with Kamilla Cardoso, Angel Reese clapped back at last year's claims about her having a low GPA, which reportedly earned her a suspension from LSU head coach Kim Mulkey.

After a video of her giving a speech in high school resurfaced, Reese took the opportunity to call out the people who spread rumors about her GPA.

"omggg no yall didn’t like where did yall find this 😭😭😭 & that’s why i let yall run wit that lil gpa thing cause i been smart but whateversssss😭😫😘," she tweeted.

Angel Reese had a remarkable start to her WNBA career, breaking the record for the most consecutive double-doubles in a single season and holding the most rebounds in a season record(446) until A'ja Wilson broke it.

Reese showed her willingness to do the dirty work for the Chicago Sky every day this season. She made it clear she was focused on getting rebounds and making the plays that not everybody's willing to make while she develops her offensive game.

She played 34 games, averaging 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
