Brittney Griner's teammate Natasha Cloud took aim at the Donald Trump administration in her latest X post. The Phoenix Mercury star criticized the incoming Trump administration for its stand on banning the popular video platform TikTok.
Cloud came forward and expressed her opinion in an X post on Sunday. she addressed the ban and made a sarcastic comment about not having trust in the Republican Party's administration.
"It was never TikTok that made us not trust y'all," Cloud said in her X post.
As of Sunday, the popular short video platform TikTok has stopped working in the United States of America. The federal ban is in full action and the administration has received mixed reactions from the public on the decision.
It has to be remembered that the Trump administration is yet to take over as the President-elect will be sworn in on Jan. 20.
The US government dropped the hammer on the video-sharing app due to its Chinese roots. The government did give the app's owners a way out of the ban but they didn't take it. TikTok owners had until Jan. 19 to sell their product to a US buyer to avert the ban.
It is not the first time that TikTok has been banned in a country. On Jun. 29, 2020, the Indian government also took a similar decision and banned TikTok.
Natasha Cloud takes shots at healthcare negligence after TikTok ban

She also brought forward the sensitive issue of school shootings and the demand for legislation around gun control in the US.
"We are banning TikTok before any legislation surrounding guns after another school shooting."
Natasha Cloud had a decent run with the Mercury last season. She averaged 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game and helped her team to a playoff spot. However, the Minnesota Lynx knocked her team out in the playoff's first round with a 2-0 record.
The WNBA has transitioned into the offseason and Natasha Cloud has joined 35 other players from her league to play in Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart's 3x3 basketball league Unrivaled.
