As per usual, the WNBA's stars put on a mini-runway ahead of the Liberty vs Sparks clash and Rickea Jackson's pre-game fit became the center of attention. No, it's not because people found it to be stunning, but because many felt like she was wearing the wrong outfit.
The Sparks rookie showed up wearing a long winter coat and just like her teammates, her fit was featured on the the WNBA's official Instagram page.

Many of the reactions to Rickea Jackson's outfit pointed out the fact that the temperature and the climate are quite hot right now.
"It's 90 degrees here right now why do I see thick coats?" @smilezzzzz_ asked .
"In the midst of a heat wave!" @slimballa14 pointed out.
"It's a whole heatwave, I see long coats and fur. This ain't it," @cuckoo_4_coco said.

However, some fans also praised the pregame fit that Jackson wore on her team's trip to New York.

Rickea Jackson and the LA Sparks are facing off against the New York Liberty for the first time this season
The LA Sparks are out for revenge in this contest as they failed to secure a single win against the New York Liberty last season.
These two teams faced off three times in the 2023 season and each one was determined by single digits. In their first game last year (Jul. 30, 2023), the Liberty won 87-79. Then on Aug. 1, immediately after their first clash, the Liberty pulled off a seven-point win (76-69).
The Liberty completed the regular season sweep on Sep. 7, 2023 when they won by seven points once again (96-89).
Tonight's matchup between these two teams will be the first of the season and is the opening of a back-to-back between the Sparks and the Liberty. While the Sparks aren't quite as stacked as the Liberty, they have some new weapons such as rookie Rickea Jackson whom the Sparks selected with the fourth pick of the 2024 draft.
Jackson has been averaging 10.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in her maiden season in the WNBA. With Cameron Brink going down due to injury, Jackson will have the chance to step up as the top rookie on the Sparks.
