Chiles was part of a major controversy at the Paris Games that resulted in her bronze medal being stripped away. It was ruled that her coach didn't appeal within the allotted time frame. As a result, the medal was awarded to another competitor.

When it comes to the Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces, they are gearing up for a tough challenge. After advancing to the semifinal round, they'll now meet the No. 1 seed, New York Liberty. This face-off is a rematch from the 2023 final, in which Vegas won back-to-back championships.

How has A'ja Wilson performed in the 2024 WNBA playoffs thus far?

During the regular season, A'ja Wilson was arguably the most dominant player in the WNBA. Through her first two games, she has managed to carry that momentum into the playoffs.

Finishing in fourth place, the Las Vegas Aces squared off against the fifth-place Seattle Storm in round one. The defending champs managed to make quick work of their opponent, winning the series in two games.

A'ja Wilson was a major catalyst in their success, impacting the game at a high level on both ends. In Game 1, she recorded a stat line of 21 points, eight rebounds, two assists and five blocks.

She managed to up her production in Game 2, recording a double-double. Wilson notched 24 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks against Seattle.

The Aces entered this season with a chance to make history as the only second team to complete a three-peat. Looking ahead to the second round, they will meet a formidable Liberty squad, led by fellow Olympians Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu.

If Vegas wants any chance at getting past the Liberty, they'll need multiple high-level performances from Wilson. Game 1 of this series is slated for Sunday at 3:00 pm ET.
