Angel Reese is in New York City to meet her new friend Jodie Woods, the younger sister of Jordyn Woods. After landing in NYC, the Chicago Sky star posted an update on her arrival on her social media.
Reese posted a story on her Instagram handle and tagged the younger Woods sister, asking where she was.
"Hey bookie im hereeee wyaa?!??!! [Jodie Woods]," Reese wrote in the story.
Before Jodie went to receive the WNBA star, she posted her response to Reese's story on her Instagram.
"It's twin nemmmm. Boutta come steal you," Jodie Woods wrote on her IG story.
This is not the first time that Angel Reese and Jodie Woods have met each other. Last month, in September, Reese had a meet-up with Jodie, her sister Jordyn Woods and NBA player Karl-Anthony Towns at a party.
Angel Reese played 34 games in her rookie season before going out with a wrist injury. The Sky, in the absence of Reese, missed the playoff spot. While the WNBA star is recovering after going through surgery, she is also taking care of other non-basketball businesses.
Reese has started her own podcast, "Unapologetically Angel." Given her fame, she has been able to attract famous big names on her podcast. The podcast has 58.3K subscribers on YouTube.
Angel Reese talks about singing at Usher concert
Angel Reese's rise to stardom, crossing the boundaries of basketball and fashion, is almost unprecedented for a WNBA player. Just after her rookie year, Reese is a celebrity at football games and music concerts.
Previously, she got a special welcome from Megan Thee Stallion while the singer was performing in Chicago. Reese took her teammates on the stage and even danced with the singer.
Earlier, in September, Reese was at Usher's concert in Los Angeles and she got VIP treatment from the singer himself. While Usher was performing 'There Goes My Baby,' he approached Reese and offered her his mic to sing.
Reese sang and danced with the singer, however, she later shared on her podcast that she was very scared.
"I love Usher," Reese said (37:33 mark). "I don't want him putting cherries in my mouth. You know, I didn't even want to sing into the mic. I was like, 'No. I don't want to do it.' I was a little scared."
Despite her WNBA season coming to an end, Reese has never left the limelight of the media. At the age Reese is, she has done a miraculous job in building her brand across various industries. Perhaps, her reach can work in favor of a better branding of women's sports.
