The South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball team is off to one of the best starts in the Southeastern Conference, with just one loss through its first 10 games. In her second season as a starter, Chloe Kitts has led the Gamecocks with a series of strong performances.
On Tuesday afternoon, Kitts took to Instagram to share snapshots that captured on-court moments from her first nine games of the season.
"Sum to prove 🗣," Kitts captioned her Instagram post.
Aliyah Boston and Kamilla Cardoso, former South Carolina women's basketball stars, showed their support for Kitts and their alma mater with comments on her post.
"Yeahhh 21 ❤️," Kamilla Cardoso posted.
"And you proving it ‼️ ‼️," Boston wrote in the comments.
Aliyah Boston and Kamilla Cardoso were members of the Gamecocks' 2021-22 national championship team. Boston attended South Carolina from 2019 to 2023, winning one national championship and earning four All-American selections, including three first-team mentions.
Cardoso attended South Carolina from 2021-2024 after transferring from Syracuse and won two national championships in 2021-22 and 2023-24. She was a second-team All-American in 2024 and won the Most Outstanding Player award in the NCAA Tournament.
Chloe Kitts helps South Carolina to ranked win over No. 9 TCU
On Sunday night, Chloe Kitts and South Carolina took on the No. 9 TCU Horned Frogs in the US LBM Coast To Coast Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas. Kitts and the Gamecocks defeated TCU 85-52, advancing to 9-1 on the season and picking up their fourth ranked win.
Kitts helped the Gamecocks to their second consecutive top-10 win. She scored just four points on 1-of-4 shooting but grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds in the dominant win.
In nine games this season, Kitts is South Carolina's second-leading scorer and leading rebounder, averaging 11.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game, shooting 52% from the field. She ranks eighth in the SEC in rebounds per game and 29th in points per game.
