Kate Martin and her girlfriend, Claire Gransee, paid a sweet tribute to each other, which was recently noticed by a fan. During Martin's Unrivaled shoot, the fan took note of a necklace that Kate was wearing that had her girlfriend's initials on it. The fan further claimed that Claire also has a similar necklace with Kate's initials on it.
Kate Martin and Claire Gransee reportedly made their relationship public in June after the Las Vegas Aces selected Martin in the 2024 WNBA draft. The couple attended college together at Iowa, where the 6-foot guard suited up for the Hawkeyes for five seasons.
Currently in the WNBA offseason, Kate will play for the Laces Basketball Club in the Unrivaled league, which is set to tipoff its inaugural season on Jan. 17 in Miami, Florida.
The Golden State Valkyries recruit was the 27th player signed by the 3-on-3 league and took to Instagram on Thursday to give a sneak peek of their Unrivaled practice. Martin's story featured a well-lit basketball court, complete with LED screens that displayed the league's name and logo.
Kate Martin concluded her rookie season with the Las Vegas Aces, averaging 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in the 34 games she played in the 2024 WNBA season. She shot 30.7% from the field, including 35.5% from beyond the arc.

Kate Martin took to Instagram on Saturday to share a throwback post of 2024, which featured snaps of her with her girlfriend, Claire Gransee, her family and her friends, including Caitlin Clark. Martin showed love to her close ones with the post and coupled it with a heartwarming message as she embraced the new year.
"I'd go everywhere with these folks, including into year '25 #newyearswag," Martin captioned her post.
Reacting to the post, Caitlin Clark took to the comment section to reciprocate the love.
"Love," Caitlin Clark commented.
Meanwhile, Claire Gransee reshared Martin's post on her story and coupled it with a cat pout emoji.
Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin and Claire Gransee went to Iowa together. While Martin and Clark were teammates, Gransee didn't play for the college's women's basketball program. Per her LinkedIn profile, Gransee currently works as a human resources associate for Publicis Sapient in Boston.
