Kate Martin is set for a new chapter in her young WNBA career after the Golden State Valkyries selected her in Friday's expansion draft. Martin was the No. 6 selection, a shock to many fans around the league, but also celebrated by others.
As part of her transition from Las Vegas to San Francisco, Martin posted a video of her last day in the city, which included her girlfriend Claire Gransee and a couple of Aces players.
The video shows Kate Martin thanking her girlfriend, calling her "awesome" and "the best" while describing their day. They first went to one of Martin's favorite spots to get breakfast and the player even showed off her talents to create figures in the coffee.
She then showed her locker room and the Aces facility, where nobody was practicing. They picked up some boxes to pack things up. The couple then went to eat dinner before going to "Mad Apple" for a show. Martin even showed that she was accompanied by Kiah Stokes and Allisha Gray, the only two Aces veterans who appeared in the video.
They finished the night by getting on a rollercoaster before heading home and sleeping for one last time before leaving the city.
