Kelsey Plum and A'ja Wilson had intriguing reactions to an unofficial invitation from Shannon Sharpe's podcast. The NFL legend sat courtside for the Las Vegas Aces' win over Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night, visibly excited to see WNBA stars play against each other.

Following the game, The Sportsnista asked the three-time Super Bowl champion which Aces players he'd like to interview on his podcast, "Club Shay Shay." He chose Wilson and Plum, and the interviewer shared the message with the players, who laughed but didn't directly address the invitation before concluding the conference with an awkward response.

"Thanks for having us, y'all," Plum said.
"Yeah, I gotta go. Y’all be blessed. Eat ya vegetables. Go to sleep on time.”

While it's not clear what incited their reaction, Kelsey Plum and A'ja Wilson appear to be on good terms with the former NFL tight end and there's more than one proof to back that up.

Shannon Sharpe shared moments with A'ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum after Aces-Fever game

Following the Aces' blowout 88-69 win against the Fever, Sharpe was caught on camera speaking and laughing with A'ja Wilson. He seemed genuinely excited and respectful while talking to the center while Wilson smiled in response.

Earlier in the game, Sharpe cheered for Wilson after she made a tough bucket against the Fever defenders. T-Mobile Arena went into a frenzy when Wilson scored and Shannon wasn't the exception. He even lost his bracelet when clapping for the two-time WNBA champion.

Kelsey Plum reacted to this moment on social media, jokingly telling the former NFL player that he was "too buff," which caused his bracelet to break and fly under his seat.

While Sharpe has credited Caitlin Clark for the surge in popularity of the WNBA this season, he's shown his respect to the other players trying to elevate the league's level, including the defending champions.
