'Kill Bill' hitmaker gives 5-word shoutout to Angel Reese's Vogue cover feature on Instagram

Grammy-winning singer SZA took to Instagram on Thursday to shout out to Angel Reese following the Chicago Sky star's appearance on the cover of VOGUE magazine's 2025 Winter issue.

The "Kill Bill" hitmaker reshared a post highlighting Reese's achievement on her story and coupled it with a laudatory message.

"Straight CASHHHHH she so cold 😍🫀✨🌊" SZA captioned her IG story.

Angel Reese landed the VOGUE cover, posing for a story about how she's making headway in both fashion and sport. In the story, Reese, who earned the nickname “Bayou Barbie” during her collegiate career, elaborated on how she has always been into both worlds.

"It’s always been basketball and fashion," Reese said. "But I was a fashion girlie from young too. ... I was always in my mom’s closet, putting on her stuff.

"I liked to carry a purse. Hair done. I wanted to look put together. I still do. ... I used to watch America’s Next Top Model with Tyra (Banks) and practice my walk in the living room."

The seventh overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft also explained that basketball ran within her family, with both her mother and grandmother having played it.

Angel Reese receives heartwarming surprise from Unrivaled teammates after appearance on VOGUE cover

Angel Reese is preparing to participate in the inaugural season of the 3x3 women's basketball league, Unrivaled, which is scheduled to tip off on Jan. 17 in Miami.

Ahead of the tournament, Reese was treated to a surprise by her Rose Basketball teammates on Thursday. They laid out gold balloons spelling out VOGUE along with cupcakes and a bouquet of roses in the locker room to honor Reese for her off-court achievement.

Rose's social media shared a glimpse into the surprise for Reese with a video,

"Making sure our Vogue Rose smells her flowers. Congrats Angel Reese," the caption read.

Reacting to the surprise, Reese took to Instagram story to express appreciation for her teammates.

"My teammates are so sweet. I love them," she said in the video.

Angel Reese concluded her WNBA rookie season averaging 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.3 steals as she broke various WNBA records. She shot 39.1% from the field, including 18.8% from beyond the arc, but the Chicago Sky failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
