A'ja Wilson didn't miss her chance to diss Kim Mulkey and Rebecca Lobo after her alma-mater South Carolina secured a commanding win over the LSU Tigers in a much-anticipated matchup on Friday. The reigning WNBA MVP award winner took to Threads by Instagram to mock the LSU head coach and the former player turned analyst with two messages.

First, she went after Mulkey, making fun of her hairstyle and said:

"Kim Mulkey had to sleep pretty last night the way her bob is crispy 💁🏽‍♀️ purrrr."

Then, she called out Rebecca Lobo for wearing orange on the South Carolina campus.

"No one told Rebecca wearing orange on our campus is a big no no Lmaoo no matter the shade smh," Wilson wrote on Threads by Instagram.

The Gamecocks secured their 17th consecutive win against LSU, confirming their dominance over the Tigers. South Carolina cruised to a 66-56 victory at the Colonial Life Arena behind 14 points from Joyce Edwards and 12 points from Sania Feagin. Aneesah Morrow responded with 15 points, but it wasn't enough as LSU couldn't get past the 2024 champions.

A'ja Wilson had more reasons to celebrate, as her former team pulled off a big result that improved their record to 19-1 while LSU had their first loss of the season which leaves them with a 20-1 record.

A'ja Wilson reacts to Gamecocks men's team's loss to Auburn

A couple of weeks ago, the South Carolina Gamecocks men's basketball team lost to Auburn in a close 66-63 loss. A'ja Wilson engaged in a back-and-forth with Auburn alumnus Chantel Tremitiere, who first shared a story to try to provoke Wilson.

"I won't say anything but..." Tremitiere posted on her Instagram story.

The Las Vegas Aces superstar replied to Tremitiere and said that their bets were just for women's basketball games and that their duel was still weeks away from happening.

"🥱🥱🥱 bets are only wbb talk to me 2/2," Wilson responded.

After winning the national championship against the Caitlin Clark-led Iowa Hawkeyes, the South Carolina Gamecocks are trying to win the back-to-back this year, but their task won't be easy. Besides the LSU Tigers, the UConn Huskies, USC Trojans and Notre Dame Fighting Irish are some of the teams that might give them a run for their money in the next couple of months.
