In a throwback video shared by a fan on X, formerly Twitter, a comical moment between NBA legend Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa Bryant and New York Liberty star, Sabrina Ionescu, has resurfaced.
The video, originally shot in 2020, features Bryant and Ionescu hilariously helping each other exit Bryant's second youngest daughter Bianka's pink Range Rover toy.
The video was originally uploaded by Sabrina Ionescu on her Instagram in September 2020.
Ionescu has been close friends with the Bryant family since she met Kobe Bryant at a college game while playing for the Oregon Ducks. Ionescu also worked with Bryant at the Mamba Academy. Sabrina also spoke at the memorial following the tragic deaths of Kobe and his daughter, Gigi Bryant, in 2020.
"I carry Kobe and Gigi with me every day and honor their legacies through my dedication to the game," Ionescu said during the service. "I wake up every day grateful for the platform I've been given and I strive to lead by example and serve as a role model for young people and especially girls to pursue sports — a platform Kobe and Gigi were passionate about."
Sabrina Ionescu's closeness with the Bryant family was previously highlighted during the 2024 Paris Olympics when she shared a special moment with them. Soon after Team USA clinched victory against France in the women's basketball final, Ionescu embraced the Bryant girls who were cheering from the sidelines.
